Established in 2000, JE Architects evolved from Jeffrey Eaton’s 14 year Architectural journey that served as catalyst for a then, new venture. Now, 11 years later, JE Architects embraces the “new” economy and continues to not only creatively design the built environment, but also service the quickly changing landscape of today’s Client needs.
As the Principal in charge of Design, Vision and Operations, Jeffrey oversees the firm, its staff and consultants to ensure that Client’s needs are being met: “The Client relationship is the absolute essence of any Architectural practice and it is this relationship that JE Architects values most.” To that end, JE Architects strives to provide the highest level of design, communication and value to each Client.

This is the third store for Cellular Image, a local leader in cellular phone sales and is located in the El Paseo de Saratoga Shopping Center. This space was challenging due to its oblique angled storefront and "tucked in" location, however, JEA was able to express all of the storefront by creating a "double entry" configuration, giving the store a sense of openness and an "indoor/outdoor" feel.
The main display features a full height waterfall with the latest cellular technology located just in front to give customers a heightened sense of tranquility as they browse the store.
Client: Trinity Church
Design Architect: Studio JVA - Grand Rapids, MI

GC: Hollander Smith Construction, Inc.
JEA served as the Architect of Record for this 60,000 SF transformation of a former High Tech Industrial Complex into a state of the art Church and Youth Center. JEA worked side by side (via the internet) with the Michigan based firm of Studio JVA to completely renovate this multiple building complex from a dated tilt-up into a vibrant and sophisticated center for worship and recreation.
Besides the sanctuary and associated worship spaces, this project also contained multiple age-dependent centers that gave this "church" a living quality. The Designer was free to let color, light and a creative use of geometry to infuse this project with a sense of dynamism not typically seen in places of worship.

Located at the intersection of King Avenue & Story Road, this Retail Center becomes the gateway of the neighboring Tropicana Shopping Center, as well as the focal point of the entire King & Story Retail Redevelopment Area.
A project long in the making, this Retail Center serves as the main pedestrian cooridor to and from the adjacent center, giving its courtyard and therefore Retail Tenants optimum vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Constructed in a vulnerable economy, this project was leased up well before the close of construction.

Responding to our clients need for a high profile tenant to locate in a higher profile location, JEA created a 3 facade Retail Building that can accommodate not only a single user, but also one that could repurpose into a multi-tenant configuration, without appearing so.
Located between Highway 101and Condit Road, this Mission Style Flexible Retail Building was designed for either multi or single tenant. As a single tenant, Patioworld has taken advantage of the buildings (3) sided frontage to conspicuosly display its diverse inventory which is visible day and night from the freeway and frontage road.
Client: Private Residence
GC: Tanglewood Construction
Located in the foothills overlooking Gilroy, this 4,500 SF "addition" became essentially an "attached" second residence. Working with the existing Architecture, JEA blended the new and old materials to give this 3 Bedroom, 3 bath addition a contemporary feel using rustic, natural materials. The feature of the house is the +/-1,200 SF Great Room with full integrated Technology such as 6 remote operated Skylights and softer touches like the "built in" seating / libraries on either side of the focal fireplace/entertainment center.
