Established in 2000, JE Architects evolved from Jeffrey Eaton’s 14 year Architectural journey that served as catalyst for a then, new venture. Now, 11 years later, JE Architects embraces the “new” economy and continues to not only creatively design the built environment, but also service the quickly changing landscape of today’s Client needs.

As the Principal in charge of Design, Vision and Operations, Jeffrey oversees the firm, its staff and consultants to ensure that Client’s needs are being met: “The Client relationship is the absolute essence of any Architectural practice and it is this relationship that JE Architects values most.” To that end, JE Architects strives to provide the highest level of design, communication and value to each Client.

Our practice is a Service based firm that is passionate about meeting the high expectations facing our Corporate Clients as well as the helping overcome the challenges facing our “Mom and Pop” clients. Everyone who engages an Architect needs something beyond the plans, and this is the edge that JE Architects brings to each project. Behind the scenes of even the most simple of Projects are complex issues such as municipal approval, construction oversight and “time to market” that can greatly impact a projects success…these are the details that JE Architects proactively and passionately pursues.

The path to Architecture began for Jeffrey at a young age when he developed a passion for drawing and building. Before continuing a formal education, Jeffrey followed his passion for building by entering a Construction Apprenticeship where he worked for several years, however, the ‘creative’ desire to draw and design ultimately led him to pursue a career in Architecture.

Upon Graduation from Cal Poly, SLO, Jeffrey returned to Kenneth Rodrigues & Partners where he became a Project Manager for multiple projects including The Villages Golf Clubhouse in San Jose, CA and the Ruby Hills Clubhouse / Pro Shop in Pleasanton, CA.

In 1996, Mr. Eaton moved to the Sacramento Area to continue his passion for Hospitality Architecture and began working for Studio SMS and picked up where he had left off by Designing projects in the Hospitality and Retail markets such as the Yountville Bar/Grille & Clubhouse in the Napa Valley.

In April 2000, Mr. Eaton began his practice known as JE Architects (JEA) which has steadily grown to an 8 person firm specializing in Retail, Office and Hospitality. JEA is a dynamic, diverse and high energy firm that enjoys working with both its new and repeat clients and is most proud that 90% of its work comes through referral.

In 2004, to keep ahead of the curve, Jeffrey embraced a then new technology known as BIM (Building Information Modeling) which he and the firm have successfully implemented on several projects. And, as the Green Movement emerged, Jeffrey became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2008.

Throughout his 20 plus years in the AEC field, Mr. Eaton has increasingly continued to foster an integrated “team” approach and sees a bright future for Architects regaining their role as leaders in the globally and economically changing environment.
